In Harmony

The Hillcrest Choir, "In Harmony,"  began in the fall of 2012.  It is comprised of 5th and 6th grade students. The students must pass an audition and maintain passing grades in all of their classes. Students rehearse once a week (45 minutes) on Tuesday afternoons.

In Harmony sings at all PTO meetings and school assemblies. In Harmony also sings at various places in the community. One of their favorite places to sing is at the nursing home during the Christmas season.

In Harmony performed on the National Mall in Washington, DC as part of the America Sings! festival in April 2014, and at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL in February 2015, 2017 & 2019!  In Harmony returned to Washington DC, April 2018 to sing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial as part of the America Sings! festival.

In Harmony performed for the Alabama Music Educators Conference in January 2020.

In Harmony is under the direction of Ms. Sarah McLendon.
